MEET LUCY
darlington's story
Currently residing in Savannah, Georgia, Lucy Darlington is a native of the seaside town of Blackpool in the United Kingdom.
In 2018, Darlington’s passion for travel and discovery led her to spend a year living in the southeastern United States as part of a cultural exchange program with the England-based University of Central Lancashire. While living in Highlands, North Carolina, she solidified her place in the south by meeting her husband, Jamie Crotts, who is a sommelier and wine shop owner. Darlington later felt the allure of Georgia’s coastlands, moving to the region in 2022.
Surrounded by limitless inspiration, Darlington paints what she sees as beautiful. This includes natural subjects such as native birds and beach fossils, as well as farm produce, oysters, and wine – inspired by her connection to the local dining scene
Values
Quality
Sustainability
To uphold a commitment to environmental responsibility, Darlington’s artwork showcases the beauty of nature while seeking to advocate for mindful living. Each piece springs from a source of inspiration for sustainable choices.
This is currently upheld in the selection of subjects – oysters(among the most sustainable sources of seafood), produce from small local farms, wines from responsible growers, etc.
In the future, the hope is to connect with suitable environmental organizations in order to fulfill this value at an even higher level.
